clayton township, taylor county, iowa Clayton township has one cemetery that has been abandoned for many years..the Bowers Cemetery in section 14. In the past few years a road has been made to it and people have tried to find the "pieces." This is an old burial place..it is not marked on the 1875 maps, but is on the 1923 Atlas. Most of the stones are between 1860 - 1900.
