OBITUARY - Hanna Llewellen was born in Iowa, April 6, 1843 and departed this life Nov 30, 1918 aged 75 years 6 months and 24 days.
She was united in marriage to John Fred Messman in 1861 in Atchison County, Missouri. To this union 8 children were
born as follows: Henry Messman of Sheridan Mo. Mrs Martha Majors of St Louis Mo., Mrs Mary Cain of Craig Mo.,
George Messman (location unknown) John Messman who died in infancy, Mrs Bird Downing of Blockton Iowa, Mrs
Ida Spargur of Iola Kansas.
Henry Messman, Mrs Kain, Mrs Downing and Mrs Shannon were present at the funeral.
She obeyed the gospel about one year ago, and united with the Christian church at Blockton Iowa.
The funeral services were conducted from her home in Sheridan Mo Dec 5 1918 by Challie E Graham after
which the remains were laid to rest in the Sheridan cemetery.
The bereaved ones have the sympathy of friends, all of whom wish for them the comfort and blessing of
God in this hour of sorrow.
