When a small child they moved to Henry co, Illinois where most of her childhood was spent.

In 1896 she married Jay M. Parsons and to them were born 3 children: Myron R. of New Market, Lee B. of Conway and Mrs Mary Wilson of Waukee, Iowa, 2 step children, Mrs Grace Fitzsimmons of New Market, W.J. of Bedford; 2 sisters, Mrs Sula Kemerling of Malmo, Nebr., Mrs Mable Kemerling of Weston, Nebr; 2 brothers, Jesse Wilson of Gravity, and Sylvan of Fairfield. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and W.C.T.U. -6
