Kitchen, Clara P., aged 80 years: obit - Clara Kitchen died at home in New Market Aug 22, (1940). Having no relatives in the country, little is known concerning her early life or the date of her birth. Born in Cleveland, Ohio over 80 years ago, she married Dr Warren Kitchen and lived in New Market nearly 50 years. She was preceded in death by her husband and an adopted son, Harold, who died in 1917 at 14 years of age. -6

Johns Dec 14, 1892 and on 17 Dec of that year they came to reside in New Market. He is survived by his wife and 1 brother, Will, of Springfield, Ohio, and 5 sisters, Mrs George B. Rex of Des Moines, Mrs Ida Weir and Mrs Luella J. Hunt of Springfield, Ohio, Mrs Isaac Thorn, a twin sister of the doctor of Selma, Ohio, and Mrs Homer McMillan of Atlanta, Georgia. -6
