Sarah Sadler The Toledo Chroncle Died at the residence of Charles Steward near Toledo, Tama County, Iowa, on the 26th day of December 1879, SARAH SADLER, wife of Jesse Sadler deceased, born in North Carolina in 1810. Aged Sixty-nine years Ten months and Five days. Mrs. Sadler emigrated from her native State to Montgomery county, Indiana, was a resident of that county seventeen years. From there with her husband and family of nine children, six sons and three daughters, came to Tama County, Iowa, where she resided the remaining part of her lifetime. About thirteen years ago her husband departed this life, leaving her to combat with the trials and cares of a widowed life until death removed her from labor to reward. Mrs. Sadler lived to see her children all become heads of families, leaving one son who remained with his mother while she lived. Though all the children and grandchildren doubtless realize the loss of a kind mother, Hubbard will feel his loss more keenly than any one else. Mrs. Sadler having been a resident of Tama county twenty five years, was known and respected by many as an unassuming peaceable and quiet citizen, and a consistent Christian, having been a member of the Christain Church for a number of years. |
