John R. Felter The Toledo Chronicle Died Mr. John R. Felter, of Crystal Township, died last Sunday evening, aged about 37 years. Mr. Felter was one of the early settlers of Tama County having come here with his parents about 22 years ago. He was a member of C. G. Fourteenth Iowa Infantry, and while in the army contracted the disease (chronic diarrhea), which was probably the principal cause of his death. He was a brother to Mrs. Gallion and Mrs. Brackney, teachers in our schools Mr. Felter was a good citizen, a brave soldier, a loving son and brother, and a kind a affectionate husband. He leaves a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. |
