Mrs. Ella Buttolph Chase GRAPHIC, Lake City Mrs. Ella Chase, 83, of Lake City died Tuesday evening, Dec. 19, 1978 at Shady Oaks Nursing Home in Lake City. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Huffman Memorial Chapel in Lake City with Rev. Chris Nettles officiating. Burial was in the Lake City cemetery. Mrs. Ella Irene Chase, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willis Butolph, was born Dec. 8, 1895 near Lohrville. She married Wilbur Chase Feb. 2, 1916 at Lake City. She was a member of the Woodlawn Christian Church in Lake City. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. George (Ramona) Matheny of Lytton and Mrs. Charles (Jo Ann) Piper of Loveland, Colorado; 4 grandchildren. Preceding her death were her parents, her husband in Dec. 1977, three brothers and one sister. Casket bearers were Jess Picht, Harry Moyers, Robert Allen, Sr., Harold Janssen, Melvin Campbell and Leon Hendricks.
