Stan Quinn's notes on Patrick Casey:

The Patrick Casey mentioned in the History of Tama "The Beginning", may be my GG Grandfather. The history reads: "Another early settler who came in the year 1852, was Patrick Casey, a native of Ireland. He settled on section 25, Buckingham township. In 1854 he sold his farm and went to Geneseo township, where he lived for a few years, and removed to Kansas. He is not living. Mr. Casey was a full-blooded Irishman, and like all the rest of his race was genial and warm-hearted." I have information that he may have moved to Waterville, KS in 1858, and was murdered October 8, 1863 in Marysville, KS.
