GRAHAM, Martha J. d 5 Apr 1857 age 5m 12d d/o J. K. & Mary. James GRAHAM was living with his family in White Eyes Township, Coshocton County, Ohio in the 1850 Census. In 1856, James moved his family to Iowa and is believed to have lived near his sister Sarah A. (GRAHAM) Wilkinson. The 1860 Census showed that James K. Graham with his wife and family of 8 children lived in Scott Township, Johnson County, Iowa. Sometime thereafter, he moved his family back to a farm near Buckeye Prairie in Church not far from Pana in Christian County, Illinois where he died in 1866.

GRAHAM Louisville, Coshocton County, Ohio. Seven ch lvg in 1883: Milton B, Albert A, Lincoln P, Grant, Thomas, Mary A & Edith). Held several public offices in Tama County.

WILKINSON, William B. d 22 Oct 1851 age 2m 6d. The first birth in Salt Creek Township was a son of William Wilkinson and Sarah E. in the year 1851 and died the same year making the first death. (History of Tama County, Chapman, 1879.)

WILKINSON, William E. d 10 Feb 1868 age 4y s/o Willian & Sarah Notes:

William Wilkinson b 1775 and Jane Elizabeth (Stewart) brought all their children from Londonderry, Ireland on the Ship Macedonia, 22 Jul 1834 which landed in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Also on the Ship was William’s brother Anthony Wilkinson b. 9 Jul 1787 and Anthony’s wife Eleanor POER b abt 1796. By 1835 William and his family were farming in White Eyes Township, Coshocton County, Ohio. William’s sister, the Widow Mary Wilkinson GRAHAM arrived from Court, near Milford, County Donegal, Ireland with most of her family about 1839 and lived next door to him in White Eyes Township. In 1849 William and Jane’s family moved to Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa while the three sons Anthony, William Jr and Robert cleared their land and built a cabin on Robert’s land in Richland Township, Tama County, Iowa.

Robert Wilkinson s/o William and Jane b 23 Aug 1823, County Donegal, Ireland m Mary Ellen LANNING 2 Feb 1852, d 29 Sep 1872 on his farm in Salt Creek Township, Tama County and is buried with his wife and two of his six children, Mrs. Alice M. French 1859 – 1948 and Louis William “Willie” 1861 – 1881 in the Koszta Cemetery, Iowa County, Iowa. The Koszta Cemetery is about 13 miles away from the Wilkinson Family Cemetery. His other children were Morris Beacher b 9 Nov 1852, Joseph R. 12 Mar 1855, James “Fred” H. b Jun 1863 and Albert Albertus “Bert” b 3 Jul 1867. Robert held several public offices in Tama County, one of which must have been Justice of the Peace because he performed the first marriage in Salt Creek Township between George MCCHAMBERS and Miss Cordelia Adeline LUX on 16 Oct 1853 (book A, page 1.)

Jane Catherine Wilkinson d/o William and Jane b 29 Oct 1830, County Donegal, Ireland m Zelmon DAY 14 Nov 1864, Tama County d 24 Aug 1909 and is buried in the Haven Cemetery, Tama County, Iowa. They made their home in Richland Township, Tama County and had two sons, Arthur Henry and Dallas. Zelmon Day’s parents Henry and Phylana are buried in the Day Family Cemetery, Richland Township, Tama County, Iowa along with his brother John.

Mary Elizabeth Wilkinson d/o William and Jane b 15 Dec 1833, County Donegal, Ireland m Dr. James W. GRANT 13 Apr 1854, Tama County d 12 Dec 1904, Cypress, Harris County, Texas. They made their home in Marengo, Iowa County, Iowa and had three sons: Charles B. b about 1857, Gordon H. b about 1859 and Elmore E. or C. about 1862. By 1880 she, her husband and sons Gordon and Elmore were on the Harris County, Texas Federal Census.

Anne Eliza Wilkinson d/o William and Jane b abt 1815, County Donegal, Ireland m. 1st James KUNERIEMER 4 Jul 1837, Coshocton County, OH; 2nd Mr. NIGHTENGALE, 3rd William T. SMITH 20 Oct 1852 Iowa City, Johnson County, Iowa and 4th John SKYLES abt 7 Dec 1875 of Marengo Township, Iowa County, Iowa d between 1875 and 1880, probably Marengo Township, Iowa County, Iowa. Anne had one child, Clara Marjorie NIGHTENGALE b 12 Sep 1838 Ohio m 1st Thomas ENGLAND 24 Dec 1856 Johnson County, Iowa, 2nd Charles H. BASSETT abt 1863, and made their home in Grand Junction, Greene County, Iowa.
