CEMETERY RECORDS
- W.P.A. "Tombstone Records of Story County, Iowa" Copied by Graves Registration Project of the W.P.A., These tombstone readings were taken by the W.P.A. in the various counties during a period in the late 1930's lasting into 1940-41 in some counties. Some of these document markers which are no longer readable or no longer exist.: State Historical Society of Iowa
- The Story County Chapter of the Iowa Genealogical Society completed an survey of all Story County cemeteries in 1993 producing an excellent reference in fourteen volumes. Each volume is fully indexed. Two volumes contain an full index to the entire set.: Ames Public Library, Colo Public Library, Nevada Public Library, Bertha Bartlett Public Library, Iowa Genealogical Society. Available for purchase from the Iowa Genealogical Society.
- A History of Story County, Iowa by W. G. Allen, 1887, contains a death list of the known occupants of Story County cemeteries at that time. The book is searchable by surname.
CENSUS RECORDS
- 1885 Census Index for Story County, Iowa compiled by Story County Chapter of the Iowa Genealogical Society, 1996. Lists first person named at a location, number of persons with that surname, census page number, township or town, and the dwelling and family numbers. Available for purchase from the Iowa Genealogical Society.
