This map of Story County is taken from the Illustrated Historical Atlas of the State of Iowa, 1875 by A. T. Andreas. The map shows key locations and natural resources as follows: Churches, School Houses, Farm Houses, Post Offices, Mills, Blacksmith Shops, Cemeteries, Quarries, Coal, Lime Kiln, Roads, Railroads, Proposed Railroads, Timber, Swamps, Creeks, and Bluffs. The symbols representing these locations are showns in the Reference chart on the map.
In addition, the map contains names of land owners which have been transcribed and may be viewed below, by first initial of last name or by township. The same name may be shown multiple times as it is included for every parcel owned.
