Ruisch family

My great grandparents in the Alton, Orange City area were Dooijes and Aaltje Ruisch, and Johan and Diederika Van den Burg Fredricks.  The spelling of these names varies from document to document.  They were the first of my Ruisch family to come to the US.  They immigrated in 1867 and came to Alton in 1870.  I have a picture of what is left of their old farm.  There are many family members still living in the Alton-Orange City area.

The Sunday school picture is from the Reformed Church.   My grandfather, Gerrit, was born in 1869 so the picture must be from the early 1880s.
