Biever

The picture of my grandparent's wedding in 1886. John Biever and Helena Wolf, Alton, Iowa. John was born in Bellevue and came to Sioux county with his widower-father Michael when he was about nine years old. John died in 1905. John's grand-son still lives in Alton, on the very farm that Michael Biever, John's father, bought when he came to Sioux County from the Bellevue (IA) area with about seventeen other Luxemburger familys in 1870.

John and Helena's son, Alphonse (my father) Biever, married in 1931. Alphonse died in 1946.
