BERNARD OLSON

Hawarden, IA-Special: Funeral services for Bernard O. Olson, 69, who died Saturday at an Iowa City, IA. hospital after surgery, will be at 2 PM Tuesday at the Barnard funeral home here. Rev. Paul Williams, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be at Grace Hill Cemetery. Mr. Olson was born April 28, 1890, in Sweden. He came to America and to Craig, NE., at the age of 17. He married Delphine Swanson of Wausau, NE, on May 22, 1926, at Yankton, SD. They came to Hawarden in 1929.
He was confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Survivors include the widow, a son, Bernard of Long Island, NY.: seven brothers, Albert, Ernest, Gus and Ivar, all in Sweden, Carl of Chicago, Oscar of Lincoln, and Ben of Sioux Falls; and four grandchildren.
