The July 31, 1941 Diamond Jubilee Edition of the Sioux Center News, consists of 44 pages of newsprint, pictures and advertisements, depicting the 50 year history of Sioux Center, not only from the incorporation of the town 1891-1941 but also history back to the beginning of the settlement of the area in early 1870s.
This old aging crumbling newspaper edition is reproduced in a 260 page book form by the Greater Sioux County Genealogical Society. It will has a Table of Contents, the actual text of the paper reproduced as well as the full newspaper is reduced to 60% and copied in original form, plus indexes for quick reference of people, schools, churches, organizations and businesses of the community.
Some additions have been added and some old pictures of the era and the full pageant and parade pictures of the celebration. This is a very valuable edition to the series of Sioux Center history books printed in the past.
