Calliope School
Calliope School is the first school built in Sioux County. It was built in 1869. It still stands near its original site at 1717 Avenue D, Hawarden IA.

Calliope Village
This school is a museum at Calliope Village, Hawarden IA. It comes from about 6 miles southwest of Hawarden, in South Dakota. It was known as the Scott School, it originally was on a stage coach trail that ran from Sioux Falls to Sioux City. It was built in 1871.
