Below is a list of Volunteers to help LOOK UP genealogical materials which they have access to. Our volunteers are our most precious resource. Please help them by limiting your request to ONE individual (or couple).

If you have access to Shelby County genealogy material, and are willing to do Reference Look-ups, I will place your name and information here. If you prefer to remain anonymous, but still want to help, I can post my name in place of yours. We can work out the details. Volunteers are not expected to do detail research, but only provide the basic facts, for example names and dates on a gravestone inscription. To Volunteer Contact the Site Coordinator. Volunteers are desperately needed, and your help will be greatly appreciated.

    • Please limit your request to ONE name (or couple) per request, and allow some time for a response. Volunteers are not expected to do detail reseach.
    • Please put SHELBY COUNTY LOOKUP in the subject line of your request to insure the message is not overlooked or accidently deleted.
    • In the first line of the message please put the name of the material you are requesting research on. For census lookups, include County and Township.
    • Make your request SPECIFIC to an individual ancestor, or couple.
    • If you request a lookup, don't forget to thank your volunteer for their time.
