  • John NISSEN, son of John NISSEN and Catherine DOCWHILER, was born in Denmark in August 1836. He married Helena C. "Lena" JACOBSEN in 1868. Helena was born in Denmark in 1841. John and Helena are buried in Jacksonville Cemetery, Shelby Co., Iowa. Descendant information at the home page of Phyllis Peterson - 01/02/98. (Sorry, page is no longer available.)
