These pictures are courtesy of Betty Armentrout, who's grandfather Ben Quathamer Sr. purchased the drug store from T. W. Konkle in 1917 and operated it until his death in 1937. In 1924, his son Ben F, graduated from the Creighton School of Pharmacy and joined his father in the business.

After his father's death, Ben F. and wife Connie took over the drug store and operated it until 1949, when it was one of three Defiance business, that were destroyed by a disastrous fire. Ben F. and Connie are pictured in the Drug Store.
