The above confirmation class photo belonged to Arnold Petersen, son of Carl Marinus Petersen and Christine Anderson Petersen. Arnold is the tallest boy in the back row, standing to the right of the pastor and in front of the white statue. The photo is undated, but believed to have been taken in 1934. Per the Elk Horn Community History published in 2000, Rev. Anders Hansen served the Elk Horn Lutheran Church from 1931-1948, and so is presumed to be standing to the left of Arnold. Everyone else in the photo is unknown.
