Brief history transcribed from cemetery signage:
"About 1871, Noah Miller and Almarion Gaer came to this river valley to determine the advisability of buying land in this area. They walked up the valley six or eight miles and saw only one home on the way. They purchased land a mile west of here for four dollars per acre. Both men are buried in this cemetery.
The two acres on which this graveyard and church building are located was sold to the church and community by Levi and Julia Green on November 2, 1894 for $40 per acre. The deed was made out to Nelson Hon and Fred Dahlof, the first appointed elders of the Redline Church of Christ, and to Albert A. Mitten and Newton Green, deacons and their successors in office.
Tommy Dowel was the first person buried here in 1894.
