Walcott, Ia., May 7- Mr. and Mrs. Goettsch, of Davenport, were guests of friends here Sunday.
Mrs. John Stouffer and child visited friends in Keystone, Ia. last week.
Ed Stockdale is visiting relatives in Lake Park.
Miss Hilda Mann entertained a few friends at lunch Sunday evening.
Mrs. Wm Schwarting, daughters Alma and Linda, and Miss Martha Schwarting, were shopping in Davenport Saturday.
Mrs. H.W. Behrens celebrated his birthday last Tuesday.
Mrs. Thoms Byrius and children, of Durant, are guests of Mrs. Kegel.
Conrad Dietz celebrated his birthday Tuesday. There were over 200 present and a most enjoyable time is reported.
Henry Buentz, aged 70, suicided by haning at his home, four miles north of here Saturday morning. The funeral was held from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Keohn, Monday at 10 o'clock with interment in Walcott cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs. Philip Dietz are visiting their children in Hurlau.

Walcott, May 29- A large number from here attended the funeral of Mr. Gasseling in Davenport last Thursday.
Mrs. Bock returned to her home in Lake Park Monday evening.
Mrs. C.H. Wichmann was called to Rock Rapids Aturday on account of the death of her brother-in-law.
Mrs. Otesen, the popular Davenport milliner spent Sunday here with friends.
Mr. R.W. Behrens and Mrs. B. Schwarting were Davenport visitors last week.
A crowd of young people from here attended bird shooting in Stockton Sunday.
Mrs. Fromme and Mrs. Jensen drove to Davenport last Thursday.
Ben Schwarting was in Morris, Ill. Sunday on account of the death of his friend, T.F. Morrissey, a railway and mail clerk.
The children's day exercises at the chapel Sunday afternoon were very pleasing and will attend.
Mrs. Ernest Moeller went to Round Lake, Minn. Sunday evening to visit her daughter Mrs. Diehn.
Claus Petersen and Ernst Moeller have commenced work on their new residences.

Mrs. Gus Stueben, of Davenport, Ia., came on Tuesday to spend the day with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. Hinz.
Miss Meta Brugman was a passenger for Davenport on Tuesday.
Louis Nagel and family have moved into their new home which has recently been vacant since Heidt Bros. have moved to North Dakota.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Iversen were surprised on Sunday evening by the Schwenzel club.

WALCOTT, Ia., April 7- Louis Dommann left for Bennett, Ia., on Thursday having come here to attend the marriage of his sister, Lillian, to Albert G. Arp.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Arp of Davenport attended the Dommann and Arp wedding on Wednesday.
At the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dommann occurred on Wednesday evening at 5 o'clock the marriage of their daughter, Miss Lillian to Albert G. Arp, of Tipton, Ia. Rev. A.H. Grief, pastor of Kreuz Kirche, of Davenport, officiated in the presence of about 10 relatives. The house was beautifully decorated with flowers and foliage and a nutpial bower was formed in which the ceremony took place. The only attendant of the bridal couple was little Nonia Stouffer cousin of the bride, who was a flower girl. After the ceremony a wedding supper was served. Mr. and Mrs. Albert G. Arp will make their future home in Tipton, Ia. where the groom has charge of the grain elevator owned by Dommann & Co. The bride is a charming young woman and both the bride and groom will have a large host of friends in this vicinity who will wish them much joy and good luck in their new home.Daily Times
