John J. Lyons was born in County Longford, Ireland March 10,1829 and died April 12,1916 in Wall Lake, Iowa. He married Catherine Freeland April 29,1860 in Illinois. She was born August 29, 1840 in Lockport, Illinois and died February 1,1917 near Wall Lake, Iowa. They were the parents of 12 children, 9 living in 1916.

   1. Mary Ellen Lyons was born November 2,1862 near Odell, Illinois. She married John Coyne August 14,1884. He was born September 4,1858. He died October 22,1918 and she died March 19,1942, they are buried in Wall Lake, Iowa cemetery. They were the parents of eight children.

         1. Eugene Edward was born August 5,1900 in Joliet, Illinois. He married Ruth M. Garnatz November 11,1922. She was born in 1905. He died September 29,1962 and she died February 25,1977. They are buried in the Wall Lake, Iowa cemetery. They were the parents of three children.

                 a. Junior was born April 3,1923 and died March 21,1945. He was killed in action in World War II.

b.      Gordon Eugene was born in Carroll, Iowa October 13,1930 and died August 18,1932 in Lake View, Iowa of drowning. He is buried inWall Lake Cemetery.

         5. LeRoy Sylvester “Roy” was born October 11, 1902 in Joliet, Illinois and died December 3,1954 in Fort Dodge, Iowa. He married Ruby Lucile Hogg Belt April 3,1937 in Sioux City, Iowa. She was born July 7,1901 and died November 11,1974. She was first married to Floyd Belt. They are buried in the Wall Lake, Iowa cemetery. She has a child by her first marriage.
         6. John William was born August 27,1896 and died June 8,1953.

         7. Vivian was born February 21,1905 and died January 1973. She married John T. Stodden. He was born in 1904 and died in 1980. They are buried in Wall Lake Cemetery. They had at least two children.

         2. Donald LeRoy was born December 5,1921 in Sac County and died December 24,1990. Buried in Wall Lake, Iowa.
