Matthew Jared Rollins Jr. was born March 2, 1822 at St. Claire, Illinois and died January 8, 1894. He is buried in the Oakland Cemetery at Sac City, Iowa. He married Eunice H. Tompkins. She died November 1, 1852 at Schuyler County, MO. Jared married Louisa Tompkins, a niece of Eunice’s on August 25, 1856 in Burlington, Iowa. She was born July 10, 1835 in Clay County, Illinois and died April 9, 1909. She is also buried in Oakland Cemetery in Sac City, Iowa. Jared and Eunice had six children and Jared and Louisa had two children. 1. George W. was born ? He lived in Stillwater, OK in 1909. 2. Amanda was born March 11, 1843 near Galesburg, Illinois. She married Jasper McManus. They had a daughter. a. Charlotte-married Shannon Stegner. They had four children. 1. Isabel 2. John 3. Robert 4. Arabella-born in 1897. Died October 30, 1977. She married August Flygare. They had three children. A. Robert J.-married Violet Swedeburg B. Catherine-married Ronald Martin. They had a child-Tracy. C. Susan-married William Carr. They had a child-Jennifer. C. Elizabeth A. born before 1852 and died 1907-1909 D. Margarette A. born before 1852 and died 1907-1909 E. Nancy was born before 1852 and died before 1894 F. Eunice Olive was born before 1852 and died 1907-1909 G. Matthew J. was born after 1856 at Union, Iowa and died early 1908 or 1909. H. Minnie was born after 1856. She married Stephen Skinner. They were living in Sac County in 1894. **Three of Louisa’s stepdaughters died within the last 18 months of her death, which occurred in 1909. |
