CONCORD SCHOOL No. 2

Jefferson Township

Concord School No. 2, Jefferson Township, was located five miles north of Diagonal on the Pole Road, then east at the MOFFITT corner. The school was one of the early schools. It closed in the early 1940's due to a lack of students.

The first Concord School was purchased by Zenas KILGORE who moved it from the original site. It is presently used as a shop and is located two miles west of Shannon City, one mile south, 1/4 mile to the VORHIES farm.

Wilma "Charlene" (BORRUSCH) NICHOLS taught at the Concord School.
