Double funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p. m. at the Bender Funeral Home
in Lenox for Paul Wilson, 67, and his wife Elsie, 64, of Indianola. Burial was
in the Clearfield cemetery.
Mr. Wilson, a former banker, had suffered a stroke a few weeks ago. The two
were found shot to death Wednesday afternoon on their farm near Indianola.
Sheriff C. J. Richards of Warren county, termed the tragedy an apparent murder
and suicide.
Elsie Fae, daughter of Preston D. and Minnie Cochran Wood, was born in Taylor
county Dec. 24, 1896 and passed away June 21, 1961 at the age of 64 years and 6
months, at her home near Indianola, Iowa.
She spent her childhood in the Clearfield community and graduated from
Clearfield high school in 1915. On Aug 31, 1915 she was united in marriage
with Paul Wilson.
Those left to mourn her passing are her father, Preston D. Wood of Bedford,
Ia.; two sisters, Glenna (Mrs. Hugh Wyant) of Lenox, Mary (Mrs. A. M. Bentley)
of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, L. Banks Wood of Diagonal and Don Wood of
Bedford 3 nieces, 2 nephews, grand nieces and nephews and one great grand
niece.
Otis Paul, son of Perry and Jennie Henderson Wilson was born in Ringgold
County, Iowa Sept. 12, 1893 and passed away June 21, 1961 at the age of 67
years and 9 months at his home near Indianola.
Those left to mourn his passing are one sister, Margaret (Mrs. Allan Shaw)
Grand Junction, Colo.; one niece and three nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
