Emily Viola Drey, daughter of Peter and Rosella Drey, was born on March 30, 1899, at Beresford, South Dakota, and passed away at the Community Hospital, in Creston, Iowa, on Tuesday, April 30,1935, aged 37 years and one month.

In 1916 she was united in marriage to Sidney Flannigan. To this union was born one daughter Claudine. In 1930 to Philip Whitmore—and they have made their home in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Mrs. Whitmore was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had at times traveled extensively visiting nearly every state in the union, and made two voyages to Europe. She was also a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.

The husband and the daughter Claudine; the parents, Mr. & Mrs. Peter Drey, of San Francisco, Cal.; three sisters, Mrs. Helen DuVoyle of Sioux Falls, Mrs. Ed Butters of Florida, and Mrs. Lila Leigh Hunt of California; three brothers, Claude. Elmer and Ross —all residing in California; and friends in a great number mourn her passing.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 2nd in Clearfield Christian Church, conducted by the pastor Rev. Phillip Nystrand. The Eastern Star memorial service was given at the church. Interment was in Clearfield Cemetery.
