Samuel H. TREICHLER, who has been manager of the TRECHLER Bros. Lumber Co. in Ringgold county since 1918, was born October 31, 1881, at Cedar Bluff, Iowa. He lived from early childhood at Orent and since then had made his home at Ellston and later in Kellerton. He died in October 1942, in the hospital at Creston following an injury.

He was married May 28, 1919, Miss Ruth LUSTED. He is survived by his wife and three children, Samuel Richard, a seaman first class, Royal Hawaiian Hotel, Honolulu, Wm. N. of Maryville, Missouri, and Joanna Sue at home. He also leaves five brothers, Frank A. of Humeston, L. R. of Kellerton, James E. of Shenandoah, Winslow A. of Afton, and W. Cyrl of Santa Monica, California; one sister, Mrs. Gladys BARNES of Leon, and other relatives.

He was an active member of the Methodist church from boyhood, and was always active in all community interests.
