Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa

William Thomas TIMBY was born December 6, 1889, to William and Martha Lee TIMBY, of Mount Ayr, and departed this life on May 26, 1966, in the Ringgold County Hospital, following an extended illness.

He was a lifelong resident of Mount Ayr, and during his active years was engaged in farming and was a farm manager, abstracter, banker, automobile dealer and for many years was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and a 50-year mason.

Those who mourn his passing are his widow, Lucy; a daughter Jane (Mrs. Charles DABNEY), of Lake Forest, Ill.; three grandchildren: a brother, Lee TIMBY, of Sun City, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. J. W. YOUNG, of Carlisle; other relatives and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held May 29, from the Purgh-Dunfee Funeral Chapel, conducted by the Reverends Gordon STOKKE and David L. BARNES. Music was provided by Mrs. Harrison LINK and Kenneth BURRIGHT, vocalists, and Margaret PENCE, organist. Casketbearers were Homer BUTLER, F. E. McNEILEY, Roy SWARTZ, C. W. HORNE, Chas. J. LESAN and J. E. HORNE, and the flowers were in charge of the Mesdames C. M. CAMP, Roy SWARTZ and Clem SHEIL. Interment was in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr.
