OBITUARY - MRS. LOIS TEETERS

Lois M[uriah] RAINER (sic) was born in [Orange County] New York state April 25, 1829, and died in Kellerton, Iowa, November 13, 1926, at the age of 97 years, six months and 18 days. In 1845 she with two brothers came to Page county, Iowa, where they settled on a farm near New Market. In 1850 [March 30] she was united in marriage to John [Lewis] TEETERS. To this union eight children were born - Samuel, Lester, Etta, Nora and Dora, Mary, Miles and Willie, the three latter having preceded the mother in death. In 1921 she was called upon to lay away her husband also. She leaves to mourn her death the brother Alfred RANIER (sic); five children, Samuel and Lester of South Dakota; Mrs. Etta DAVIS, of Spencer, Iowa, and the twins, Mrs. Nora WALTERS of Mount Ayr and Mrs. Dora KNEEDLER of Lamoni; thirty-two grandchildren and forty-three great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at Kellerton on Monday afternoon at two o'clock and the body was laid to rest in Maple Row cemetery [Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa].

NOTE: Lois Muriah (RAYNOR) TEETERS was the daughter of Joseph RAYNOR (1811-1893) and Julia (SMITH) RAYNOR (1815-1880.

John Lewis TEETERS, the son of Jeremiah Abraham (1823-1888) and Elizabeth (GAMMELL) (1822-1880), was born in Wayne County, Ohio on July 6, 1842, and died in Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa, on June 15, 1921 at the age of 78 years. John was a farmer.

3) Miles Vendeer TEETERS
    born 16 Sep 1867, Page Co. IA  died 05 Apr 1915, AR
    married 08 Dec 1889, Worth Co. MO to Marietta TURNER (1869-1958)
4) Clarence Willie TEETERS
    born 1869, Page Co. IA
5) Lester Clarence TEETERS
    born 15 Mar 1871, Page Co. IA  died 02 Aug 1948, SD
    married 22 Jan 1888, Ringgold Co. IA to Della B. DEAN
6) Juliette TEETERS
    born Nov 1872, Page Co. IA  died Spencer IA
    married 1st 23 Dec 1896, Ringgold Co. IA to John N. BURGESS (1850-1904)

7) Nora Ann TEETERS, twin
