Mabel Frances STEPHENS, daughter of Peter N. and Elizabeth ROBINSON, was born Feb. 26, 1882 at Fairfield, Iowa, and passed away July 18, 1969, in the Clearview Home in Clearfield, at the age of 87 years, four months and 22 days.

Her parents moved to Mount Ayr, where she attained womanhood and was united in marriage with George A. STEPHENS on Dec. 31, 1903.

Mr. and Mrs. STEPHENS received into their home four children - Mrs. Oscar [Nellie] CROCKETT of DeKalb, Mo., Orr STEPHENS, Howard STEPHENS of Diagonal and Donald STEPHENS of Conway.

Early in life she became a member of the Methodist Church. Later she transferred her membership to the United Presbyterian Church in Clearfield, where she attended until it disbanded.

She was of a kind and gentle nature and very patient during her long illness. She was sincerely appreciative of the care and consideration given her while a resident of the Clearview Home.

Her husband, George; a son, Orr; her parents, a sister and four brothers preceded her in death.

Left to mourn her death are her children; 10 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles ROBINSON of Kansas City, Kan., and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held July 21 from the United Methodist Church in Clearfield, conducted by the Rev. E. S. TSCHETTER. Burial was in the Clearfield cemetery.
