OBITUARY - ELIZABETH HARRINGTON STRANGE

Elizabeth HARRINGTON grew to womanhood near Ashland, Iowa. At the age of 18 she was converted and joined the M.E. church
at Ashland and always tried to live a Christian life. In 1874 she was married to Frank STRANGE at Mt. Ayr, Iowa. To this
union 9 children were born, William Henry, Lewis Allen, Maudie Elnora dying in infancy, Daisie Ellen, George Francis,
Frederick Aaron, Clara Faith, James Marion dying in 1919, Lena Marie. She died at the home of Clyde CONNOR, son-in-law, in
Lenox, Iowa of primary cancer of the liver. Services were held at the Presbyterian church in Clearfield.
NOTE: Elizabeth wrote her own obituary. She was interred at Clearfield Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.

OBITUARY ~ Elizabeth Ellen (HARRINGTON) STRANGE

Elizabeth Ellen Harrington was born at Wapella, Louisa county, Iowa, March 8, 1856 and passed away March 3, 1939, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Pat Connor. She was 82 years, 11 months and 23 days old.
She grew to womanhood near Ashland, Ia. At the age of 18 she joined the Methodist church at Ashland.
In the year 1874 she was united in marriage to Frank Strange at Mt. Ayr, to which nine children were born. One daughter, Maude, died in infancy and a son James died in 1919. Her husband preceded her in death in 1930.
Those who survive are W H Strange, Clarkston, Wash.; L A Strange, Benton, Ia.; Daisy Shawgo and Clara Seney of Palouse, Wash.; F. F. Strange, Payette, Idaho; Fred Strange, Diagonal;..and Mrs. Marie Connor, with whom she had made her home with since the death of her husband, a number of grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren; one brother, F. J. Harrington of Kansas City, Mo. and one sister, Mrs. Clint Farnum of Bonapart, Iowa.
Funeral services were held at the Christian Church at Clearfield, Sunday, March 4, conducted by Rev. E. F. Hagee, assisted by Rev. S. D. Harlan, of Clearfield.
