Mary Maxine STEVENSON was born March 27, 1919 near Clearfield, Iowa to John & Alberta (OWENS) KNOX.

She attended Clearfield High School and graduated in 1937. She became a member of the United Presbyterian Church and was active in church work until it disbanded and her letter of membership was put in the United Methodist Church in Clearfield.

On March 21, 1940, she was united in marriage to Raymond STEVENSON. To this union two children were born; Linda Kay STEVENSON MOORE of Marshalltown, Iowa and Leslie J. STEVENSON of Round Rock, Texas.

Maxine and Raymond lived and raised their children on a farm until 1982 when they moved into the west part of Clearfield. Maxine took a particular interest in the elderly and had many close friends among them. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Raymond on October 14, 2000.

Survivors include her daughter Linda MOORE & husband William of Marshalltown, Iowa and her son Leslie J. STEVENSON & wife Linda of Round Rock, Texas; four grandchildren Steven MOORE, Lora KESTER, Paul STEVENSON, and Julie STEVENSON; 3 great-grandchildren Joan and Jack KESTER and Bennett MOORE. Maxine is also survived by a sister Hazel LUNDBERG of Longview, Washington and a brother Lyle KNOX & wife Gladys of Clearfield, Iowa; nieces, nephews, and friends.

Interment was at Clearfield Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.
