OBITUARY - BARTON LEROY SPENCER
Barton L. SPENCER, 86, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Creston, died Nov. 24, 2005, at Clearview Nursing Home in Mount Ayr.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, November 26, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home in Mount Ayr. The Rev. Joyce
SMITH will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. Open visitation will be Friday with
family receiving friends 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr.
Memorials will be established in his name.
Mr. SPENCER, son of Dora (PYLE) and Sam SPENCER, was born November 5, 1919, in Mount Ayr. On January 15, 1943, he married
Maude Irene WADDELL in Louisiana. He worked in plumbing and heating.
Survivors include his wife, Irene SPENCER of Mount Ayr; daughter Vicki (husband Jon) AMBROSE of Des Moines; brother Irvin
(wife Ella) SPENCER of Ankeny; four grandchildren and six great-grand children.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Linda SPENCER; five brothers and three sisters.
