Bernice Marguerite, daughter of Wellington and Ada POWELL MOORE, was born August 26, 1898, in Ringgold county, Iowa, and departed this life September 22, 1979, in the Ringgold County Hospital at the age of 81 years.

On November 10, 1928, she was united in marriage with John Clement (Clem) SHEIL and of this union was born one daughter, Sister Joan SHEIL of Davenport.

Bernice was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a sister, Ursul HOLLEN; and a brother Harold.

Those who survive are her daughters, Sister Joan SHEIL; two sisters, Elizabeth RICHARDS of Mount Ayr, and Dorothy DYTRT of Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services were held September 24 from St. Joseph's Church in Mount Ayr, conducted by Fathers James KIERNAN, Dennis TRAUSCH and Don DALEKE. Casketbearers were her nephews, Robert RICHARDS, Allen RICHARDS and Charles RICHARDS of Mount Ayr, Gene SHEIL, Michael SHEIL and Robert SHEIL of Des Moines. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery at Maloy.
