Richard SCHRECK, 39, of Rolfe, formerly of Mount Ayr, died Nov. 5 [1988] at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. A memorial service was held Tuesday, Nov. 8 at Rolfe Community School where SCHRECK was superintendent for the Rolfe and Gilmore City-Bradgate Community School Districts.

SCHRECK came to Mount Ayr schools in the fall of 1975 as assistant junior-senior high principal and was in charge of transportation. During the school year of 1977-78 he was assigned as junior high principal when the junior high students were at the Ellston Center.

He and his family then moved to Afton where he was employed by the East Union School District in 1978. He also had been a school administrator at Earlham and Sedalia, Mo.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; two daughters, Michelle and Noell SCHRECK, and a son, Cory, all of Rolfe; his mother, three sisters and a brother. He was preceded in death by a young son, who died after the family moved from Afton.
