Funeral services for Mrs. Faye (Madge Marie) Reynard, 83, of Bedford, were
held September 10 in Shum-Novinger Funeral Home here conducted by Carl
Cummings. Mrs. Reynard died in Bedford Manor Nursing Home in Bedford September
7, 1978. Interment was at Clearfield Cemetery.
Madge Marie Horton Reynard, daughter of John and Carrie Mae Cunningham Horton,
was born near Lenox, Iowa, May 17, 1895.
She lived in Ringgold and Taylor Counties most of her life.
On October 2, 1912, she was united in marriage to Faye Reynard and to this
union three children were born, Hilda Mae, Donna and Lloyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband who died August 16,
1974, two sisters and three brothers.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Hilda Mae Liston and her husband,
Dee, of Gravity, Iowa, Donna Hamilton and her husband, Byron, of
Mitchellville, Iowa, Lloyd Reynard and his wife, Genevieve, of Creston, Iowa;
two grandsons, Halwyn Hamilton and his wife, Sandra; and Michael Reynard and
his wife, Julie; five great grandchildren; one brother. Floyd Horton, of
Lenox, Iowa; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Horton of Clearfield, Iowa, and Blanche
Horton of Alberta, Canada.
She spent many hours doing beautiful handwork and shared it generously with
her many friends and relatives.
She attended the United Methodist Church.
Her family and friends will remember her as a kind and loving considerate
wife, mother, grandmother, friend and neighbor, and she will be sadly missed
by all who knew and loved her.
