Miller Owens, 71, a farmer living southeast of Clearfield, died at the Creston hospital Sunday. He had entered the hospital with a heart ailment Saturday. Funeral services were Jan 23 at the Clearfield Methodist church with burial in the Clearfield cemetery. Surviving are his widow, Mary; two sons, Lester of Rochelle, Ill., and Walter of Clearfield; a daughter, Mrs Gladys Levi of Clearfield; two brothers, Clyde and Bert Owens, both of Clearfield.

Funeral services for Ernest Miller Owens, 79, were held at the Methodist church in Clearfield Tuesday at 2 p.m. Rev H Ball officiating. Son of Mr and Mrs John Owens, Ernest was born on a farm near Morning Sun, la., Oct 20,1877 and passed away at Greater Community Hospital in Creston on Sunday, Jan. 20.

He was united in marriage to Carrie Mullin Jan 20, 1901 She preceded him in death on Oct 6, 1945. To this union were born 1 daughter, Gladys Levi, and sons, Lester of Rochelle Ill. and Walter of Clearfield. In 1917 they moved to Clearfield where he spent the rest of his life.

He was married to Mary Beatty on Oct 12, 1952. He was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include his wife and 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also 2 sisters. Mrs Jennie Campbell and Mrs Nellie Moyers of Wapello and 3 brothers, Bert and Clyde of Clearfield and Earl of Mt Union. Interment in the Clearfield cemetery, conducted by Crew Funeral Service.
