OBITUARY - KAREN (JOHNSON) PETTIT
Karen PETTIT, 63, of Mount Ayr died November 4, 2005, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.
Services will be 3 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, at American Lutheran Church in Gibson City, Ill. The Rev. David PAVESIC will
officiate. Burial will be in Drummer Township Cemetery at Gibson City, Ill. Open visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. today
with 2 p.m. prayer service by the Rev. Eydie STEPHENS at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount
Ayr. Memorials may be directed to the family.
Mrs. PETTIT, daughter of LaVern (BRETHERST) and Clifford JOHNSON, was born October 24, 1942, in Gibson City, Ill. On December
24, 1960, she married Richard "Dick" DOMAN. She lived in Gibson City, Ill., until moving to Mount Ayr in 1976. She was
manager of the Mount Ayr meal site 23 years.
Survivors include two sons, Tracy (wife Deana) DOMAN of Mount Ayr and Richard DOMAN of Paxton, Ill.; special friend Harold
MURPHY of Kellerton; three brothers, Terry (wife Eileen) JOHNSON of Elliott, Ill., Doug (wife Sue) JOHNSON of Sibley, Ill.,
and Randy (wife Holly) JOHNSON of Gibson City, Ill.; two sisters, Julie (husband Stan) GERDES of Paxton, Ill., and Pam
(husband Tim) GARDNER of Gibson City, Ill.; and three grandsons, Cody, Brandon and Dylan DOMAN.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson Alec DOMAN.
