Ruth Morse, 58, of Orient, died at her home on Tuesday, January 15, 2008.
Ruth Morse was born February 5, 1949 in Persia, Iowa to Ruth (Spracklin) Ditzler and Louis
Ditzler. She attended Persia Community schools.
On October 11, 1986 she was united in marriage to Franklin LeRoy Morse in Redding, Iowa. She has lived in Decatur county and
worked as a cook in the Sale Barn Cafe in Lamoni, Iowa. She also lived in Adair county and Union county and worked at the Super 8 Motel as a housekeeper and at the Windrow restaurant
as a cook in Creston, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband Franklin Morse of Orient, Iowa; two sons, Craig (wife Laura) Ditzler of Afton, Iowa and Richard (significant other LeeRay) Flowers
of Lamoni, Iowa; two daughters, Robin (husband Jack) Neal of Decatur, Iowa and Clara Flowers of Lamoni, Iowa; one stepdaughter, Christina Morse of Macksburg, Iowa; one stepson, John
(wife Brandi) Morse of Macksburg, Iowa; 12 grandchildren; two sisters, Marge (husband Roger) Carrigan of Persia, Iowa and Rita (husband Jerry) Christensen of Logan, Iowa; stepchildren,
Al Flowers, Donna Bond, Tony Flowers and Johnny Flowers; 11 step grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jonathan
Taylor Flowers and mother and father in-law, Everett and Opal Morse.
Services were Saturday, January 19, 2008, at the Powers Funeral Home in Creston with Pastor Bart Shields officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Mount Ayr, Iowa.
