Reverend Harold P. JOHNSON was born October 14, 1921 in Odebolt, IA. He graduated from Odebolt High School and received a degree in Seminary at Dubuque College. While in college he received many honors and was also an active participant in sports. He was class president all four years in college.

He was ordained as a Presbyterian minister.

He married Lila BROWN June 16, 1948.

He served churches in Green, IA, LaPlata, MO, Bellwood, IL, Carlsbad, NM, Sparta, IL and Omaha, NE.

He died May 5, 2011 in Omaha, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Hattie (HOSTETTER) JOHNSON, a brother-in-law, Aubrey (Red) BARCLAY, and a nephew, Bill BROWN.

Among the survivors are his wife Lila, brother Myron (Dorothy) JOHNSON of Onawa, sisters Donna BARCLAY and Dorothy JOHNSON of Odebolt, and five nieces and their families, Joyce (Bob) KEELE, Janet (Terry) MANN, Judy (John) BAHNS, Annette (Dan) McCARTHY and Pam BROWN.

Memorial services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday (May 12, 2011) at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 15002 Blondo Street, Omaha, NE. Private family interment was at Cleafield Cemetery, Clearfield, Iowa.

Roeder Mortuary, 108th Street, Omaha, NE was in charge of arrangements.
