Harry Lloyd Johnson, son of John and Clara Chaney was born in Denver, Colo., June 22, 1902 and passed away Feb. 14, 1963 at Veterans Hospital in Omaha, at the age of 60 years, 7 months, and 23 days.

His mother passed away when he was a small boy. At the age of 7 he was adopted by Dr. and Mrs. Johnson of Des Moines.

He came to Clearfield in 1921 and made his home here since then with the exception of three years service in the United States Navy, 1942-1945. When he returned after the war he established a welding and repair shop which he operated until July of 1962 when illness required hospitalization.

When a small boy he was baptized in the Danish Lutheran Church in Des Moines.

Preceding him in death were his father and mother and two sisters. He is survived by his aunt, Mrs Minnie Chaney whom he called Mom, and by Mr and Mrs Herman Chaney and Hazel Hargin and family, all of Clearfield, Mr and Mrs Robert Chaney and family of Des Moines, Mr and Mrs Walter Chaney of Canoga. Park, Calif., Mrs Pauline Miller and daughter of Lenox, Mr and Mrs Art Higdon and son of Waukee, and other relatives and many other friends.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Herbert E. Phillips. Burial was in Clearfield cemetery.
