Gary Allen Heimke was born August 24, 1945 to Harvey Fredrick and Kay N.
(Patterson) Heimke in Creston, Iowa. He passed away on April 18, 1996. [Burial
Clearfield, Iowa Cemetery]
Gary spent all his life in Clearfield, Iowa. Gary also graduated from the
Clearfield area and then attended college in Maryville. After college he
returned to farming.
On August 3, 1968, Gary married Juanita Rosa Baker. To this union was born one
son, Mark.
Gary was a member of the Clearfield United Methodist Church.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Heimke, and his mother
in-law, Nina Baker.
Gary is survived by his wife Juanita of Clearfield; their son Mark of Creston;
Gary's mother Kay Heimke of Clearfield; and his brother
Denny Heimke of Kent, as well as many friends. He will be missed by all who
knew and loved him.
Funeral services were held Monday, April 22, 1996 at 1:00 p.m. at the United
Methodist Church in Clearfield, Iowa with Rev. Alan Rusk officiating.
Music was provided by Mrs. Richard Longfellow and Mrs. Danny Kinder. Musical
selections being "If Tomorrow Never Comes", "Wind Beneath My Wings".
Serving as pallbearers were Al Brammer, Doug Boyer, Jeff Wood, Brad Varner,
Karl Swanson and Bob Swartwood.
Honorary pallbearers were Alan Larsen, Alvin Barker, Carroll Heimke, and
Ronnie Hudson.
Wilson-Watson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
