NOTICE of DEATH.
Died, in Athens township, Ringgold county, Iowa, Feb. 3, 1882, Mrs. Sarah C. JOHNSON. She was born in Ohio, March 1, 1875
(sic, should be 1855); came to Iowa when a little girl with her parents, Bro. and Sister Laird; was married Dec. 24, 1877.
She leaves a husband and a little daughter 4 years old. On Sabbath, the 5th, a large concourse of people attended the
funeral and followed her remains to the last resting place. She was 26.
NOTE: Sarah C. (LAIRD) JOHNSON was interred at Tedrow Cemetery near Kellerton, Ringgold County, Iowa.
Campbell LAIRD, Sarah's father, was born in Virginia in January, 1818, and
died March 30, 1887. Cassander "Cassie" (CAGG) LAIRD, Sarah's mother, died at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 11 days on
May 30, 1901. Campbell and Cassie were interred at Tedrow Cemetery.
