Mrs. Helen C. Ethington, 73, former Lenox resident, died at her home at 1310 Curtiss Ave., in Ames Monday, May 17th at 1:00 p.m.

Mrs. Ethington was born January 3, 1898 at Bedford, Iowa. She spent part of her life in Lenox before moving to Ames in 1941.

She was married to Harold J. Ethington on July 24, 1919 at Clearfield, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, four sons, Dean of Cedar Falls, Claire of Aurora, Ill., Dale of Cedar Falls, Paul of Birmingham, Michigan, one daughter, Mrs Marilyn Russie of Overland Park, Michigan, one brother, George E Clute of Monroe, Mich, two sisters, Mrs Pauline Williams of Lacey, Washington and Mrs. Vesta Bailey of Clearfield. Fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren; also survive.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 19 at 10:30 a.m., from the Collegiate United Methodist Church in Ames with the Rev. Wilbur Wilcox officiating.

Burial was at 3:30 p.m. in the Clearfield cemetery.
