OBITUARY - Mrs. ANNA FARIS. Abby Anna SEEVER, daughter of Daniel and Mary Catherine SEEVERS, was born March 4, 1862, near Linden, Indiana, and passed
away [on November 26, 1932] at the home of her niece, Mrs. Maude WILLEY, in Mount Ayr, Iowa, aged 70 years, eight months and 22 days. When a young
woman she moved with her mother and family to Mount Ayr, Iowa. On December 25, 1883, she was united in marriage to James C.
FARIS. To this union were born three sons, William Timby, J. Earl and James Carl, all whom preceded her in death. Her husband
died February 6, 1916. She was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church, the Missionary society and other organizations of the
church. She was also a member of the Woman's Relief Corps and the Rebecca Lodge. She lived in Mount Ayr and vicinity almost fity-one
years. For the past year and a half, she has made her home with her niece, Mrs. Maude WILLEY. She has been in failing health for a
number of years, and had been confined to the house almost constantly for the past year. She leaves to mourn her death one
brother, J. H. SEEVERS of Mount Ayr, a half brother, F. A. HARRIS of Des Moines, Iowa, a stepdaughter, Mrs. Luella WILSON of
Mount Ayr, Iowa, a daughter-in-law, Mrs. May FARIS of Mount Ayr and seven grandchildren. She also leaves a host of other
relatives and friends. She will be sadly missed, because "Aunt Anna," as she was known to everyone, was very cheerful even
through her last days of illness. In Memoriam.

We miss thee everywhere."Funeral services for
Mrs. FARIS were held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Rhoades Funeral Home and were largely attended. The services were
conducted by Rev. E. S. MENOHER, pastor of the Methodist Espicopal church, and the body was laid to rest in Rose Hill cemetery.
NOTE: James Carl FARIS, son of Abby Anna (SEEVER) and
James C., was born November 6, 1889, and died May 31, 1927. Jacob Earle FARIS, son of Abby Anna (SEEVER) and James C., was born
on April 7, 1888, and died of measles on December 15, 1888. James C., William T., and Jacob Earle were interred at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr.
