OBITUARY - RONALD LaNEIL "RON" DARLING
May 17, 1939 - August 7, 2010

Ron DARLING, 71, of Clearfield, died Aug. 7, 2010, at his home in Clearfield.
Ronald LaNeil DARLINE, the son of Frank Headley and Phyllis Kathryn (SENTENEY) DARLING, was born on May 17, 1939, in
Lyons, Nebraska. Ron entered eternal rest on August 7, 2010, at his home in Clearfield, Iowa, at the age of seventy-one
years.
Ron lived in many places while growing up. His family moved from Lyons to Mead, Nebraska as a boy. Ron graduated from New
Market High School with the Class of 1959. Ron served in the Army National Guard and the Army Reserves.
Ron was an over the road truck driver for thirty-six years. He lived in Sweeny, Texas for several years; and he lived in
Lenox about seven years. Ron has lived in Clearfield the last five years. On October 16, 2004, he married Marlene Fay
ZEIBIG in Clearfield, Iowa.
Ron was a member of the Clearfield American Legion Woodside Post; a member of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers
Association; and a member of the Clearfield Christian Church.
Left to cherish Ron’s memory is his wife: Marlene DARLING, Clearfield; his daughters: Renae DARLING, Lincoln, NE; Brenda
Lopez, Tucson, AZ; Annette (Brett) WELDON, Tucson, AZ; Coreen (Jesus) COVARRUBIAS, Rio Rico, AZ; Ronda (Sabas) REJAS,
Amado, AZ; and Bernadette (Damien) KENNEDY, Amado, AZ; his step-sons: Jesus (Xeomra) FIERRO, Amado, AZ; and Stephen
(Jennifer) ZEIBIG, Las Vegas, NV; his step-daughters: Lili FIERRO, Kingman, AZ; and Katherine (Roy) LILES, Clarinda, IA;
twenty-eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and his half-sisters: Peggy EDWARDS,
Holstein, MO and Patty PROBST, Holstein, MO.
Preceding Ron in death were his parents; his brother, Boyd at age 2; his parents-in-law: Keith and Marilyn JAMES; his
grandson, Dominik ZEIBIG; and his step-father, Emerson "Sonny" JOHNSTON.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, at Clearfield Christian Church. The Rev. Tim MAXA will officiate.
Interment will be in Clearfield Cemetery with military honors by Clearfield American Legion. There will be no public
viewing; Ron was cremated. Visitation with family present will be 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Pearson-Coen-Beaty Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St., Creston, is in charge of arrangements.
