Cecil ADAMS, 83, of Kellerton died October 8, 2004, at Winterset Care Center.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 12, at the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr. The Rev. Kathy JOHNSTON will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. There is family visitation 7 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. Memorials will be established to local organizations in his name.

Mr. ADAMS, son of Octavia (HENRY) and James M. ADAMS, was born July 8, 1921, in Mercer, Mo. On November 25, 1947, he married Wanda MICHELSON in Leon [Decatur County, Iowa]. He was a farmer.

Survivors include his wife Wanda ADAMS of Kellerton; two sons, Larry (wife Sherry) ADAMS of Mount Ayr and Rod (wife Sherri) ADAMS of Lamoni; a daughter Constance (husband Ronald) HANSEN of Derby, Kan.; a brother James (wife Geraldine) ADAMS of Des Moines; a sister Eva BARTON of Millerton; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Michael Dean ADAMS; three brothers, Sam, Edward and Wayne ADAMS and four sisters, Velma, Veola, Jane and Irene.
