OBITUARY ~ NINA VIRGINIA (REED) BAKER

Nina Virginia Reed Baker, the daughter of William 0. and Erma Reed, was born September 7, 1927 near Lenox, Iowa.

She died Sunday, June 19, 1983 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines at the age of fifty-five years, eight months and twelve days. Nina attended country school and Lenox High School, graduating from there in 1945.

On January 28, 1946, she was united in marriage with Ernest Earl Baker of Afton, Iowa.

Mrs. Baker was a member of the United Methodist Church in Clearfield and a member of the WSCS as long as her health permitted. Nina was a friend to all and enjoyed her role as a homemaker.

Her children and grandchildren were her proudest accomplishments.

Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Orville of Leon, Iowa. MO< Survivors include her husband, Earl of Clearfield; a daughter, Juanita Heimke and husband, Gary of Clearfield; two sons, Galen and wife, Cindy and Marvin and wife, Karen, all of Clearfield; four grandchildren, Mark Heimke, Gabriel and Gretchen Baker and Rocky Baker; three sisters, Eva Jones of Lenox, Lola Dillon of Clearfield and Lometa Brammer of Sharpsburg; four brothers, Charley of Des Moines, Donald of Alburnett, Lewis, and Bill, both of Lenox; as well as other relatives.

Services were held Wednesday, June 22, 1983 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Clearfield, Reverend Jim Turner and Reverend Roger Graf officiated. Music was by Roberta Lockhart, organist and Forrest and Margaret Whipp. vocalists. The selections were "In The Garden" and "Beyond The Sunset". Casket bearers were Leo Evans, Wayne Beck, John Kitzman, Elvin Miller, Fred Haynes and Delbert Routh.

Interment was in the Clearfield Cemetery.
