Eldon R. BROWER, 77, passed away at Trinity Center at Luther Park on January 9, 2011.

Eldon was born February 26, 1933, in Diagonal, IA, to Carl and Ella (PARDEKOOPER) BROWER. He has lived in the Des Moines area since 1951 and retired from Firestone in 1994. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR. Eldon was a member of the Eagles Lodge and the Isaac Walton League.

Eldon is survived by his sisters, Marilyn K. BROWER and Shirley PAGEL; and his niece, Laura WEBB among many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; three sisters; and his son, Alan BROWER. The family expresses their special thanks to all who have been involved in Eldon's care at Trinity Center.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, January 14, 2011, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 6567 Bloomfield Road, Des Moines, Iowa 50320.

Mr. BROWER has been cremated.
